I get that she wrote some good songs and I guess she did some good things with her money. But to call her a hero? She died of a self-induced drug overdose in a bathtub. 
Meanwhile since the beginning of 2012 (54 days ago) there have been FORTY deaths of United States soldiers in Afghanistan … TWO of which happened TODAY.  
Those are heroes, those are the people who inspire me. But no one hears about them because America’s much more concerned with who sang at some star’s funeral or who didn’t go. It’s DISGUSTING. 
To anybody who happens to be on my blog that has served, is serving, or will serve I have one thing to say to you … THANK YOU. And even though I’m not normally the praying type, I pray for you. And if I could meet you I would salute you … and then probably hug you.
